An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Property Executive to join the Domestic Property team in our Grimsby office.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a fee earner to assist and maximise the departmental profitability whilst maintaining client care standards.

The position is a full time position, however we would consider a part time job share. 

Duties will include
  1. Conduct all matters in the client's best interest and in accordance with the highest professional standards and applicable "quality" standards at all times.
  2. Maintain files in a neat and orderly state and ensure that each file is reviewed at least once in every 2 month period unless there is a valid reason marked on the file for not so doing.
  3. Maintain time recording on client matters on a daily basis and submit completed forms to the Accounts Department.
  4. Regularly update clients as to the current situation of their case.
  5. Deal with routine and difficult enquiries from telephone callers and clients effectively and efficiently and ensure that all client complaints are dealt with both professionally and promptly to the complete satisfaction of the client.
  6. Ensure quality of work produced by 'support staff' is to the highest standard and aim to ensure it is right first time.
  7. Understand the obligations relating to client accounts and ensure the preparation and service of bills comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
  8. To use best endeavours to achieve financial targets agreed with the Department Head or Branch Partner.
  9. Use Case Management for all cases, communicating by email to clients where possible and utilising Client Connect for informing clients and estate agents of progress.
Skills Required

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of working as a domestic property fee earner
  • Excellent teamworking and technical ability;
  • A positive and proactive approach to tasks;
  • Effective client relationship skills;
  • Ability to adopt a practical as well as legal approach to client issues;
  • Ability to business develop and network;
  • Excellent IT skills;
  • Understanding and adopting the firms values and behaviours.
