If you’ve decided that university is not the route for you but you are determined to follow a career in law, our Paralegal Apprenticeship scheme will give you a fantastic grounding and the opportunity to study and progress towards qualification as a Chartered Legal Executive or ultimately, a Solicitor.
This role would be an excellent first step into a career in law, having completed A-level or equivalent study. You will have the chance to earn while you learn, gaining valuable experience and skills as you work alongside our experienced professionals, learning the fundamentals of legal practice as we invest in your talents.
This is a 24-month programme, beginning summer 2023 and after successful completion, you will gain a recognised CILEx qualification and be ready to move into a Paralegal role within the firm. You will have two half-days dedicated to your study which will be delivered by an authorised training provider and all course and training fees will be paid by the firm.
As a Paralegal Apprentice within our Recoveries team, you will be working in a nationally recognised department. You will provide support on cases for a wide range of clients with high quality work for blue-chip, well-known national clients, across varied business streams.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Producing letters and emails according to the needs of individual cases
- Assessing each case to select the appropriate action
- Preparing court issue and enforcement documents
- Negotiating and monitoring of instalment pay offers
- Accounting and reporting to clients
- Liaising with key stakeholders over the phone
- Involvement in disputed and defended cases and all necessary procedures
Our entry requirements:
- 3 A-levels at grade C or above, or equivalent Level 3 qualification
- 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English at grade 4 or above
